The Gabriel Dumont Institute is pleased to offer a micro-credential covering the basics of Métis history, culture, and heritage through an asynchronous course. Métis 101 contains 17 lessons, covering many topics, such as Métis identity, Métis Worldview, misconceptions, celebrations, Michif, Métis today, and so much more. The estimated completion time is 10 hours. A certificate is awarded upon completion.
This micro-credential is designed for individuals and organizations looking to enhance Indigenous cultural competency, to meet the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's Calls to Action, and to commit to diversity, equity, and inclusion in their professional and personal lives.
